New devices for check out

At Mahon, if a person in line for an iPad, Kindle, or Nook, needs to have their record updated, do we send them to Circulation? If so, do we wait for them to get back and check the device out to them or do we check out the device to the next person in line whose record is up-to-date? Kathy T.

iPads, Kindles and Nooks (Oh, my!)

The proposed iPad policy and passwords are in the workroom I just put a Nook in the workroom too. I talked to Jane about some of the questions, and we'll discuss Circulation's part in blocking bad iPad/Nook/Kindle patrons on Tuesday. To be consistent with the computer use policy, the tablets will be able to be checked out by 17 year olds, same as the age for computers. We are discussing the 9am, 1pm and 6pm check-out times for the iPads. If we do go to this method, the iPads would be due at Noon, 5pm, and 8:30pm. I will be out the rest of the morning doing the library runs. Beth
